first dbacks game

On Friday night we took the kiddos to a Dbacks game. It was their first one. We decided to take the light rail instead of drive. It worked out perfectly - we saved on gas money, parking money and didn't have to deal with the crowds getting out of downtown. We had a blast!!!

Before the game started, we grabbed a quick bite to eat at Cooperstown (Alice Cooper owns it). The kids loved the stage ... and were dancing along to the music. You can probably find a video of it somewhere on Youtube - some people eating by the stage were taking pics and videos. Logan was a ham!

Addi walked right up to the Dbacks mascot, Baxter, and spanked him in the bum! He was giving her fives for her slick move!

We had awesome seats! They were in the nosebleeds, but it was perfect for us!!!

play date with best friends

On Saturday, the Sessions family, came over for a BBQ and swim play date. Kiana and Addi are BEST friends in school. They are sooo close, they are banned from sitting next to eachother, walking next to eachother and basically anything besides the playground ... they are not allowed to be near eachother at school. ha ha.

Jaelyn, Kiana's brother, is good friends with Logan and they have so much in common. They are such a fun family.

We had so much fun!! Thanks for coming over Cathy, Warren, Jaelyn and Kiana!

'lil stinkers

Whenever I take photos with kids, the moms are always stressing about the kids not cooperating. I love it because sometimes those are the best shots. I wanted to take Mother's Day pictures for my mom and grandmother ... but my kids weren't having it. Now I know how those moms feel. I kept repeating, "just smile normal", "can you please stop tormenting eachother?", "Come on, these are for Uma" ....

I think I some cute ones ... not gonna post though ... my mom sees my blog. After Mother's Day, I will post the individual ones of the kiddos.

On Monday evening the kiddos and I went to support Heath at the Fallen Officer's Memorial in downtown Phoenix. Talk about heart-wrenching. 4 Police Officers were memorialized; one of them being a member of DPS (Arizona's Highway Patrol).

It was so sad to hear how they passed; they were doing their "normal", every day duties as a Officers. It makes me really realize how my time with Heath could end at any time, even doing a "normal" traffic stop. Sigh.

I'm so proud of the fallen officer's wifes for how well they held up and stayed so strong for their families and young children.

May we never forget ...

a first!!

Heath took me on my first camping trip, as an adult. Of course, I have been camping at Girl's Camp ... but that's it! I'm N-O-T a camping fan; being dirty, now showers, blow dryers, internet. My parents didn't ever take us camping because they didn't like it, themselves.

Heath has an awesome tent that goes on the back of his truck, so you sleep in the bed of the truck! We brought one of the kids' mattress' .... sooooo nice! Way better than sleeping on the ground. I definitely enjoyed and will go again!

After camping at Four Peaks, we took the quads out for a 15 mile ride. It was so much fun. I had a blast! Heath pushed my skills as a quad driver; going up and down some pretty steep terrain. I survived, nerves and all and can't wait to go on the same trail again.
