Memorial Day Vacation: airplane rides

My cousin's own a flight school at the Livermore Airport (in the Bay Area). My family is very much into flying and builds planes. My cousin, Judy, was so sweet to take the kiddos up for 2 flights around the airport. My cousin, Paul, built this plane. It's a military spy plane. I know, it doesn't look like one, but I guess it was used to help locate land mines ... hence all the windows.

Heath was such a great sport. He's not much of a flyer, but decided he'd go up too!! I was sooo proud of him.

It was extremly windy, so Judy to "slip" the plane in = fly in sideways. The kiddos all loved this, esspecially Miss Addi. No surprise. She's the daredevil.

Memorial Day Vacation: water gun fight at Uma and Papa's

On Saturday afternoon we had a water gun fight in the backyard at my parent's home. It was so nice and relaxing. The kids loved it. I think it's so cool that my mom plans activities like these for the kids to do.

A good family friend let us come over and ride their horses. Miss Addi was IN HEAVEN!!! She is such a horse lover. Thanks Mollard's for such a fun experience.

Memorial Day Vacation: car ride from AZ - Vegas

After court on Friday, May 22, we (me, Heath, Curtiss, Logan and Addi) took off to Vegas to pick up Kaiden. This was Logan, Addi and Curtiss' first time meeting Mr. Kaiden!!!

It was quite a long drive from Phoenix to Vegas - there was a huge back up at the Hoover Dam.

The kids hit it off really well. Logan's first words to Kaiden, "My brothers are my other's dad's house are soooo mean to me. I'll try my hardest to be super nice to you". Not sure Kaiden knew what to think about that. Kaiden and Logan quickly became buddies. Addi and Kaiden got along super well too ... but after a while ... they were "fighting" for the Alpha Male position. They are both stubborn.

We rolled into Turlock at 2:00 am. The kids were wide awake; playing with Molly (my parent's dog) and opening their "Uma boxes". Heath and Kaiden met my parents for the first time. Everything went REALLY well and mom thinks Heath is a "hottie". :)

Eventually everyone went to bed at 3:30 am.
